I've been married to Ed Fechner (Class of '67) since December, 1970, and we've been living in Wayne, NJ for 37 years. We have 2 sons, born in 1976 and 1979, and 4 grandchildren, 2 grandsons ages 12 and 9 and 2 granddaughters ages 6 and 3. After college I taught 3rd grade at Lincoln School in Dumont but retired to raise my sons. I taught a Mother & Baby Parenting class and a Storytime class at our local Y for 12 years, but the highlight of my career was owning and teaching (Japanese women and children) at my English-As-a-Second-Language school in Bergen County for 26 years. Because of it I made many friends in Japan, and in October, 2017 Ed and I spent two weeks touring Japan and visiting former students. Between family and career, life has been rich and full.
