Deb and I have been married for 38 years and have two great kids, Zach, 31, in his fourth year of medical school, and Grace, 27, a varsity crew coach at Alabama. Retired from full-time journalism in early 2014 and now writing and publishing short stories. We live in Alexandria, Va., but get up to Jersey and New York often to see family and friends and to enjoy the energy – there's nothing like it anywhere.
